Ir. Dr. Lee Wei Jye is a highly experienced lift and escalator professional with more than 38 years of industry experience. He began his career with Schindler Malaysia and progressed through technical, service, modernization and management positions, including Technical Manager, Service Director, Modernization Director and Managing Director. He received extensive technical training in Malaysia, Hong Kong and Switzerland and was responsible for the operation and service performance of more than 5,000 lifts and escalators. He is also a JKKP Lift Competent Person Grade 1 with more than 20 years of experience in lift inspection, design, auditing and regulatory compliance.

Dr. Lee has extensive experience in lift and escalator competency development, standards and technical training. He has served as a trainer, examiner and consultant in the TVET and skills-development sector, with involvement in NOSS development, SKM competency assessment and technical training. He has also contributed to industry standards and worked with organisations including JKKP and JPK. His qualifications include a PhD in Lift & Escalator, an MBA from Heriot-Watt University, SKM Level 5 qualifications, and professional engineering credentials.

Dr. Lee is dedicated to advancing lift and escalator safety, workforce competency and regulatory compliance while helping building owners, property managers, REITs, investors and the public achieve reliable operation, user satisfaction and value for money. Through independent consultancy, training, mentoring and technical solutions, he aims to bridge the gap between the lift industry and building stakeholders, helping them better understand performance issues and achieve safer, more reliable and sustainable buildings.
